They are still considered to be the most beautiful yachts ever produced. Lance Lee, the famous American guru got it right when he said they represent functional art. The first meeting of the Fife yachts in 1998 at the place where they were originally built offered an unusual opportunity to record and recall the story of these sailing masterpieces, as well as their painstaking restoration by people committed to holding on to the values of their origins - immaculate, beautiful, powerful, fast, seaworthy and strong enough to stand the tests of tempests.
