Teak Decks from TLC

When I went to America to look over Constance, I specifically asked the broker how the decks looked. I knew how bad 25-year-old teak decks can be. He said they were OK, so I hopped a plane to Florida, only to be confronted by a ploughed field with screws sticking out. When I challenged the broker, he said, ‘If I’d told you the truth, you wouldn’t have come! Make the guy an offer. He’s a keen seller!’
I did, and he accepted.
When I got Constance home to the UK, I set about looking for someone to replace the deck. The prices being quoted on the South Coast made me go weak at the knees, then I came across TLC, run by Barry Lovell, in North Wales.
I liked the cut of his jib immediately and the quote he gave me was very favourable. He’s also a perfectionist and it turned out that nothing was too much trouble. I enjoyed the experience of being at Conwy as well as being delighted with the results which, completed no time and on budget, are still without blemish four years down the line.
