Don’t get caught out of date

The Small Ships Registration people generally contact registered owners and advise them when their five-year SSR is about to expire. This does not always happen, however, and the onus is on the owner, so don’t forget to check up each season. If you find yours is out of date when you’re down in South Brittany and the hard men with guns on their belts and képis come rolling along the dock, your best bet is to be somewhere else.
