We bought Constance in Florida after selling Westernman. She’s a classic Mason 44 design and is our first fibreglass yacht.
Here’s a few photos of her. I’ll be updating them soon, but these will go for now. Above was taken on the Swedish east coast in the islands off Stockholm. Magic, isn’t it.
This one of the deck is up at TLC Boat Repairs in Conwy, North Wales where she spent three months having my pal Barry put a brand-new teak deck on her.
One of the first things I did was to put a wood-burning stove on board as my wife has the coldest feet ever! I installed it in a space that had previously been filled with a monster aircon unit. That went into the skip with the microwave and the huge TV screen.
She’s easy to sail with her in-boom furler and her motion at sea is as good as the old pilot cutter’s. She’ll do us proud for a few years yet.
